The Hobeto program is addressed to children suffering from pathologies which cannot be treated in Ethiopia by offering them the possibility of receiving treatment in our country. The hospitals with which this collaboration convention has been set are the Ayder Hospital (Mekelle’s University Hospital) and Wukro Hospital. When a child is identified as suffering from a pathology liable to be treated under this program, his/her clinical history is forwarded to us to enable our doctors to study it in depth. The healthcare to be received is estimated as taking under 6 months since the arrival of the child, and during this time, a collaborator of Etiopía Utopia offers his/her home as accommodation. One of our mottoes is that the medical team treating the child ensures that after the treatment received the child would not endure any medical risks needing healthcare in the Basque Country in the future for the same process.
